Les Ballets de l'Opera de Chinois de New York - Contemporary - Dante Park - June 21, 2012
Les Ballets de l'Opera de Chinois de New York was founded in 1995 by Chen Min Lipman. Its purpose is to use the difficult and complex traditional ballet techniques as a medium for introducing Chinese culture to the Western audiences. It also performs Western classical and contemporary ballet.
The Company specializes in Beijing Opera Ballet, it’s an East meets West combination which merges Beijing Opera acting, and Contemporary ballet. Chen Min Lipman, Director, has created a repertoire that combines the beauty and culture of Beijing Opera and its stories and gesture acting, with the classic and graceful movements of Ballet. Les Ballets de l'Opera de Chinois de New York dancers are from the Joffrey Ballet School, Alvin Ailey School and Beijing Opera Arts schools.
